Avon Gardens Trust was one of the first of the 36 County Garden Trusts, formed in 1987 and today embraces Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Our underlying principle is to raise awareness and promote the conservation and protection of all our parks & gardens and designed landscapes, as well as researching and recording them. Crucially, we also support Avon’s primary and special schools and community gardens both through funding and advice.
Avon Gardens Trust Advice and Funding for School gardens
Avon Gardens Trust supports Avon’s primary and special schools, both through providing support and funding for such things as equipment and tools, compost, sleepers and other supplies for creating their gardens. We want to encourage children to grow fruit, vegetables and herbs as well as plants to encourage local wildlife. Whilst we don’t routinely fund plants or seeds, we may be able to help with links to local community projects and nurseries.
